I think maybe the weirdest thing about me is that I've never even so much as broken a bone........ I was never one of those tree climbing adventurous kids when I was tiny.... hmmm.... yea...okay I definitely need to get out more

Well, I have a disability.. But I dont want anyone to feel bad for me...
but..
When I was 4, I was diagnosed with something called an AV septal defect with pulmonary hypertension. Basically, I have a whole in my heart. ( I only have one chamber. 2 when my heart beats.. weird, I know) and Hight blood pressure in my lungs. I need to have a double lung and heart transplant. I cant have any kind of surgery until I have that because its a 65 % chance I will wake up from the anesthesia.
I am 20 years old and have flat lined 4 times. I was told that I can never have children of my own. not even through invetro-fertilization. Also, I was told that I wouldn't make it to be 16 years old. But look at me now.. I am still alive!!
well, thats my story.. lol
By the way, I am not on the transplant list.. My doctors say I am doing too well.

Hope it all works out for you and you live a long and healthy life.
I have a friend with a muscular atrophy disease who was told she wouldn't make it past 20. She's now 27 and better than ever.

Thank you!!
And I am really happy for your friend. It really means alot to people who are told that they will die at a certain age and they don't.. it makes you feel....strong...

I've never had anything really strange... I've had one strange skindisease but that went over very quickly so... (the doctor said it could take 2 years, but after a month it was gone :) )

I don't know exactly, it was something called lichen ruber I think... I had red spots over my body... it's not a allergy, the doctor didn't know what caused it... he said it normally only is by old people as a reaction to medication, but I'm not old and I had no medication so the cause is unknown... I had it about 4 months ago!
Mcyummyfan - March 20, 2007 03:18 PM (GMT)
Hmm thats weird..
I have heard of that.. It will show up and go away.. and show up when you at least expect it.. so if it comes back, dont be suprised..
McEline - March 20, 2007 03:38 PM (GMT)
hehe I know it can come back... I hope so it doesn't...
