I feel like er're about the same age since we share the same intrests ...(or at least the love of Grey's) but then I realise that I'm twice as old as some of you....:)

Mactilda - May 22, 2008 08:27 PM (GMT)
Well.... I was thinking about the average age of grey's watchers.....
In Sweden it's a series for those 20-40 (rough), but I've kind of noticed that "over there" it's many, many, many teenagers and quite young teenagers watching. Is that why Shonda and co are making them act like teenagers? For teenagers to identify with less difficulty with late twenties/early thirties doctors? It's always been "High school with scalpels" but it's getting more imature(in lack of a English adjective form of adolence) or is it just me?

Cait - May 22, 2008 08:31 PM (GMT)
It's possible. 0.0

I wish they wouldn't; it's getting annoying and I think a lot of people are starting to take note and take a dislike to it. Make them grow up!

Mactilda - May 22, 2008 08:34 PM (GMT)
Yeah :) Teenagers needs rolemodels :) Right now, the doctors only rolemodel skill is their education...... their behavior? Not so much

Caddie_Is_Love - May 22, 2008 08:44 PM (GMT)
IDK. I've been able to relate to the show the whole time, but even MORE so this season (Part 2). Then again, I'm a teenager, so… :P

Mactilda - May 22, 2008 08:54 PM (GMT)
Could be it - or the sexual confusion :)
Eighter way - good for you

Caddie_Is_Love - May 23, 2008 06:33 PM (GMT)
The sexual confusion, for the most part :) I understand (ish) what Callie went through.

McEline - May 24, 2008 03:57 PM (GMT)
I think here most of the people who watch it are teenagers... but well a couple of weeks ago I heard people from around 30 talking about it too... and I know a teacher at school who is around the 50 and watches it...

I think you bring up an excellent point. I was watching the finale - and as much as I like George - I couldn't help but notice JUST how childish he was acting. I mean, I know it is in his character to be like that, but its like...WE KNOW he has that adult/serious side to him as well. I guess I can't complain too much though because Shonda has grown him up a lot, especially in season 3.

And I know of a couple teachers in there mid-20s that watch the show.

Callica Shipper - May 24, 2008 06:43 PM (GMT)
I'm 25.

inmymcdreams - May 24, 2008 08:12 PM (GMT)
ha Teachers are (various ages too). I used to work in the library at school last year and I'd over hear them talking about it all the time. so tempted to join in but that would be awkward. Granted they also work in a high school so it's the culture that surrounds them.

Cait - May 24, 2008 08:20 PM (GMT)
Ha ha!! My great grandmother watches. :P And she's like in her 80's

McEline - May 24, 2008 10:18 PM (GMT)

Ha! My grandmother is telling my mom not to let me watch it!

DAMN, am I the youngest one here?

Mactilda - May 27, 2008 03:13 PM (GMT)
If I was your mother I'd let you watch it :)
If there was something that I thought you ddidn't understand or whatever (your mother/grandmother have as reason for you not to watch) I would talk to you about it.

Caddie_Is_Love - May 27, 2008 06:23 PM (GMT)
Huggle for Mactilda! :)

Yeah, you see, my mother doesn't TALK to me about anything. She actually told me she wanted me to be "pure" for as long as possible, and seeing the sex wouldn't help. BFWAH! "Pure" was over when I discovered LiveJournal :P

Mactilda - May 27, 2008 07:07 PM (GMT)
Tell her that just because you don't watch sex at tv it doesn't make your thaughts and wonders any bigger/more vivid. For one I think that NOT talking about things have a tendency to build up things, if you've never seen a naked body before then it's haused.....
It's like when you're not aloud to eat candy..... remember Willy Wonka??

Caddie_Is_Love - May 27, 2008 08:28 PM (GMT)
Yup! I mean, I'll be 15 next March, I'm no little kid! If she thinks I'm not wondering… she's wrong. VERY wrong.

Cait - May 28, 2008 07:48 AM (GMT)
OMG. Maggie... I was your age when I had Tanner. I just realized. Not that I condone that, but I DO have to say it didn't help that my parents weren't open about sex at all, and in fact, it wasn't until AFTER that they stopped being ga ga "NO ONE NAKED EVER, SEX IS A BAD WORD" about everything. I guess now it's weird to think they were ever like that because of how frank we all are with each other about these matters...

Caddie_Is_Love - May 28, 2008 02:12 PM (GMT)
My parents are too conservative. I mean, they're not (as you said) "NO ONE NAKED EVER, SEX IS A BAD WORD," but they CAN be a bit ridiculous sometimes. LIKE NOW. I get that they're trying to be "good parents," but smothering your offspring is NOT the way to do it!

LexieGrey - June 5, 2008 08:43 PM (GMT)
Hey my nearly 4 year old watches Heroes *shrugs* Okay I'm so not winning Mother of the Year.

And since we're on age even though I've posted mine...
ITS CHANGING IN 11 DAYS TO BE EXACT. I'ma be 25.

I can look forward to car rentals...hahaha

Caddie_Is_Love - June 5, 2008 08:49 PM (GMT)
I wish my parents were looser instead of all uptight.

LexieGrey - June 5, 2008 08:52 PM (GMT)
I'm into laid back parenting because exposure is what prevents the curiosity to do things in my opinion. If your children have a better understanding of cause and effect they most likely wont got for effect out of curiosity. I was very sheltered growing up and it caused major issues within myself and later on even addiction problems because I just wanted to get a taste of what I did not know.

So with my kids of course theres things I dont expose them to but example if their pet fish dies, I wont replace it and pretend they wont notice. I'd rather explain what happened and help them through the grieving process. It's how we learn.

Caddie_Is_Love - June 5, 2008 08:54 PM (GMT)
My parents seem to think that I won't be interested in things like sex if they prevent me from watching stuff like Grey's. WRONG!
