okay, this is really stupid, but i have some burning questions about the show. they are really inconsequential and irrelevant, but they do keep me up at night. so, if you have the answers, please satisfy my curiosity.


1) where, do you suppose, did that gift basket come from, the one mer and cristina were poring over in 3x19?
2) does derek contribute to the house expense since he practically lives at mer's house?
3) does preston drive to work?
4) exactly how much are the attendings earning? if callie spends $2500 a week, wouldn't mark and addison, and the chief too for that matter, be spending the same on their hotel bills?
5) are derek's clothes in mer's house or does he bring a change of clothes everytime he sleeps over?
6) why don't derek, mark, and addie use the on-call room?

I believe Derek once said he made 2 mil a year, don't quote me. But per field I think it's different, Callie doesn't make as much at the attendings because she's onyl a resident, so she makes significantly less, but then again she's a gazillionaire.

- I do believe he drives. The first time he took Christina on a date (she had that crazy purple dress on), he opened the door for her to his black car and drove off to the restaurant.

- I don't know how much Callie is making, but if her paycheck couldn't cover it, the money from her family is probably helping out. But like LexiGray said, I'm thinking that Derek, Addy, and the Chief are making a couple million a year. The Chief always says he doesn't want those 2 million dollar hands to get messed up!

5) are derek's clothes in mer's house or does he bring a change of clothes everytime he sleeps over?
- Since he stays over so frequently, I'm assuming he has some closet space or a couple drawers in a dresser somewhere. He still has the trailer, so not all of his clothes went to Mer's house.

6) why don't derek, mark, and addie use the on-call room?
- I think the on-call room is just to lie down and take a break. They usually just hang out in an employee lounge like what LexiGray said.... I've seen them in it a couple times, but forgot the exact ep #.

was reading my questions and your answers, and i started to laugh. do you know how we sound like to people who aren't as obsessed? here we are discussing these people like they really exist. it's like we're in a family reunion and we're gossiping about the absent relatives.

just remembered that burke indeed has a car. aside from their date, they also had that car scene in the thanksgiving epi. as for the salaries, you mean all attendings (at least the four) get $2m a year? even addie and sloan? geez, the hospital rates must be really expensive.

since they don't celebrate birthdays, let's speculate as to their ages. (how did you come up with the ages you put up in the myspace accounts?) my theories:

meredith --- really unclear coz she was supposed to be 5 when richard & ellis had their affair, and chief said it ended 21 years ago
izzie --- 27 (daughter 11 and had her at 16)
george --- same as iz
yang --- a little older coz she took up more degrees, right?
addie --- at least 33 (married 11 yrs, and she told miranda 1/3 of her life wasted over pair of underwear)

Izzie is 28 because I think Hannah is 12 now, so I just used Katherine Heigl's BDay for Izzie's myspace.

Meredith is 29 or 30. She spent two years I believe slacking off, so yeah she's about 30.

In an episode (I forget which) Cristian said she was 29.

George I think is the youngest, he and Izzie at least, he's either 27 or 28.

Alex is 29.

Addie and Derek hooked up while they were doing their...internships? or residencies under Dr Webber, so they actually would be in their late 30's if that were so. Because the average internship starts around 26-28, 11 years of marriage they'd be close to 40.

cristina said she was 29? really, have to look for that epi.

when did alex say he was 29 as well?

in the extended 2x09, when addie and derek were on the ferryboat (sse was thinking they could have sex tonight), derek said, "remember med school?" i believe they were already together before their internships.

The scene were Derek is on the laptop in that room, one of them anyways is in 3.05. It's when he tells Mark he's not his friend.

But he's not exactly clear on whether they actually did that or not or if it was a metaphor like Meredith's pick me choose me speech where she talks about holding a radio over her head...she never really did that, that was a reference to Say Anything. Other questions about GA.....

1. Where the hell did Alex live?! They're never going to resolve that are they?
2. How did Burke and Cristina go from Cris worshiping him at the Mixer while he's got some gorgeous woman at his side to them getting scrabble in an on call room with the door locked?

right ive been watching my season 1 dvds and ive remembered something that has always bugged me...
in season 1 episode two after mer and der kiss in the elevator despite the line mer has drawn and mer gets off and walks away, there is a women/nurse that tries to get on the elevator but doesnt make it and has to press the button.....

when mer and der are in the elevator, in episode 2, all the papers fell at the right of derek, but when the elevator stops, they are left... how did that happen? and why is the elevator so slow that part? (normally it goes much faster)
