Title: Who got you into GA/Who did YOU get into GA?

Cait - November 8, 2007 02:56 AM (GMT)
Hey all! First thread, hope this is in the right place. :D If not just move it and smack me around a little bit and I swear I'll do better next time. :hammer:

Anyhoo! So, we all had to start somewhere...

Who got you into watching Grey's Anatomy?

Or were you a genius and found love for it all by yourself? (If you did, a cookie for you!)

Who have YOU led down the dark and twisty/bright and shiny path?

Well for me, my friend Alden got me into it. Well actually, it was my interest in Katherine Heigl. But he was my enabler, who told me about the show in the first place. And I watched the 1st season with him. He's the best enabler, seriously, if you ever need one, I'll let you borrow him.

And I've been the enabler for my older sister, who is pre-med. So it took a bit of convincing to get her to even want to watch it, but again, she's a Katie fan. Katie always wins. And of course, my boy-toy, who had to like it because I like it, and I always talk about it, so eventually, he just goes "Ok. Let me borrow your Grey's, I'll watch it. Seriously." What was cute was that he added the "seriously". Aww.

lmao SERIOUSLY!

well I get a cookie because I found it all by my lonesome! YAY COOKIES!

I got into it at the middle of Season 2 and I have been addicted ever since! :]

I haven't been a good enabler I'm afraid. My sister only watches it because she has no choice so there! :P

Forced enabling is the best, IMO. ;) She’ll thank you one day!!

You lucky, you were all smart all on your own. I had to be led into it. (Yayyyy Katie!)

Now, the question is, what sort of cookie would you prefer? I’ve also got muffins, just in case you’d rather have one of those. *mmm*

My friends at a parnet-comunity told me that I HAD to watch Grey's so I watched the entire season one in a weekend - with husband...
I then have told everyone I know that they have to watch grey's, but not everyone has followed my advice or liked it once they watched, but my big sister and most of my friends are fans as well now.

I saw a promo on tv and I liked it... The first episode I wasn't able to watch because I was on vacation but from the second one I watched... Wasn't really hooked at the beginning, (don't get me wrong, I liked it but I wasn't addicted to it then) the spoilers, boards and videos on the internet did that to me and now I don't know how to live without it...

Honestly, I found it all by myself and started watching it from the first time it ever aired because it was on after Desperate so I saw all the commercials (Patrick Dempsey being in those commercials helped) and was hooked by the end of the first season. i'm a genius, apparently.

haha. my love for the show has "rubbed off" onto my dad (lol), both of my little sisters, and one or so of my many cousins. what can i say, i can be persuasive.

Actually my mother started watching it... in the beginning I wasn't that interested. But then I kinda started watching it every week and since then I got hooked!

Aw I guess I don't get a cookie now. :P

KarevsLovah - November 9, 2007 01:12 AM (GMT)
I'll give you a cookie Melissa! ;)

OMG yay! I burst out laughing and now my roomate thinks I've lost it. I showed her what I was laughing at, and she goes "Oh yeah. That was unbearable to watch in the theatres with you, you know, with you laughing your arse off rather loudly at inappropriate times." Oops. I do have a really really really loud laugh. I can't help it. Movie theatres are hell for those who laugh loudly and at inconvient times.

I believe I will change my avatar, too. To reflect that... whatever that is called.

More mufins? :D

KarevsLovah - November 9, 2007 07:13 PM (GMT)
hahahaha I laugh loud too....very loud and usually at inappropriate things! hahaha.
and YAY for changing your avatar! hahahaha yes muffins would be LOVE.

Cait - November 9, 2007 07:18 PM (GMT)
It's really sad when you have to sit by yourself at the movies because not one of your 5 sisters will be seen with you for fear of the movie being remotely funny. Not one out of 5! I can't help it!! We need to start a club for loud laughers at inappropriate times. Or see sad movies? No, because then there is crying.. and that's funnier!

*flaunts new avatar*

I seriously really need to get onto boyfriend's computer and use his photoshop... I could do wonders for my avatar and signature.

And yes, muffins = love. *yay* Speaking of which, I am off to bake a cake. Ok so that is not speaking of which, but baking is baking.

KarevsLovah - November 9, 2007 07:28 PM (GMT)
YAY CAKE!
haha I'm all for the club nobody likes going to the movies with me either! :P psh their loss! lol

Today I was standing with one of my best friends infront of a poster of the cast and I asked her: Can you say the names from all the characters? She never watches it, and she couldn't say all the names, but she knew already a few of them because I talk about it that much... Got a lot of friends hooked and my dvd's were borrowed a lot :) Like today there were 2 friends coming home from school, we had just one hour free so we could watch one episode and when it finished, we had to leave but they hadn't seen the bloopers yet so we watched them too, we were a bit too late at school but the teacher didn't mind :) when there is one class falling out, sometimes we go to my place just to watch grey's (one class is 50 minutes and with 15 minutes from the break we're easily able to go home, watch it and go back)
