The much anticipated Grey's Anatomy spin-off got a working title. BuddyTV.com reveals the the Addison-centric show will be titled Private Practice. The title, revealed by ABC during a media buyers event, is quite fitting the new series as Private Practice will revolve around various doctors, including Addison, working at a wellness center in Los Angeles. ABC says that the title is not set in stone (it's a working title) and they could change it at any time.

Even if ABC is advertising episodes 3.22 and 3.23 of Grey's Anatomy as "the potential Addison spin-off," it is almost a given that it will become a series on its own as it will surely attract many viewers not only because it's a Grey's spin-off but also because of its cast: Kate Walsh, Tim Daly, Taye Diggs, Merrin Dungey, Amy Brenneman, Paul Adelstein and Chris Lowell. Yes, some of these have been part of many series that have failed to get renewals (Diggs was part of ABC's Day Break, and Daly was the lead of Eyes and The Nine), but all should help attract viewers.

The two-hour spin-off episode will air in May.

Yeah, wasn't Grey's Anatomy's working title "Complications"? Even that is kind of lame, so hopefully they can think of a better title like they did Grey's.

it's probably called private practice because it's going to have a lot to do with Addison's "private life" like it's about oh she's a doctor la-di-dah la-di-dah and then it focuses on what she does under the covers...playing up the dirty mistress angle... it's supposed to be funny or something? yea, I think it's stupid and they could have come up with something less... well less stupid.

I find it funny (and yet sad) that they point it out themselves that the cast is filled with people from other failed shows but still maintains some optimism in saying that these people from other failed shows "should help attract viewers." Seriously...stupid! That's all I'm sayin....

Seriously I don't want it to turn out as some late night soap opera where she sleeps with a different guy every episode but I wouldn't mind it being more of a comedy if they do it the right way

I agree a lot of spin offs in the past havent made it, just because greys is so popular doesnt mean the spin off will

yeah i think both derek and burke are to much into there pesonal lives to take on the task of chief and with addison leaving i think shes giving up her chance, but mark has no personal life and when they were doing the interviews he had the now plan, which seemed to impress everyone, and hes really gainig a good relationship with the chief

but usually if they're setting us up to believe something, which they are, then it won't happen
