Title: Top Ten Must Read
Description: Books yayyyy!
Cait - August 18, 2008 05:50 PM (GMT)
I know we have a book thread, about which one we've read last, but we really need one with our personal favorites in it! They don't have to be in a particular order, and a series can count as one book if you want. :D I know we're all nerds and we all read.
It's because we're super cool. :rockstar:
Here's my little ol' list! Post yours!
1 Beloved by Toni Morrison (But I love most of her books!)
2 The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum (seriously all the Oz books are GREAT!)
3 Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston
4 The Hot Zone (but I can't remember the author)
5 The "Love Comes Softly" Series by ... um... Oops! Jeanette Oakes! That's it.
6 My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult
7 Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
8 A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snickett (delightfully dark!)
9 The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice (Merrick and Queen of the Damned are my favs of that series)
10 Harry Potter Series by... We all know that one.
Maybe we should extend the list to top 20... So many books...

My friend keeps recommending I read the Vamp Chronicles. *looks them up* Wow I didn't realize "Interview with a Vampire" was first published in 1976. Otherwise, I honestly don't read enough to even come close to having a Top Ten must read list *ducks for cover*

Omg you guys would love the Vampire Chronicles... More grown up than Twighlight, but along the same lines. (Older books, too, yes...) But they are really good. Just about different vampires and their shenanigans... It's pretty cool. I love em!
"An Abundance of Katherines"? Que es eso? (You knew I'd ask...) What's it about, I mean... God I'm a freak.
OMFG Little House on the Prairie and Hank the Cowdog. I forgot those series, I LOVED those when I was younger.
I say we continue our lists... Screw top 10; what was I thinking?! :P

hahahaha...uh its about this child prodigy (hes a teen now though) who only dates girls named katherine. The entire book is just hilarious and like Green's other novel, Looking For Alaska, it has the perfect blend of hilarity and heart.
