I'm dissapointed with this finale. Guess who's going insane during the summer? I am ;]. I honestly didnt think NE would be right about everything, they are known for being false but they were right. Gotta give them credit. I'm really upset, i can't believe merder, did they break up? UGHHH

Ok, Derek, you were great this eppy, meredith, no. I'm pissed off at you. Derek basically spilled his heart out to you and told you the truth and yet you walk away again. WTF? i understand the cristina situation but derek's point is sooooo sooooo true. He's not an ass, like i said.

I honestly dont think anything was resolved this episode. It didnt feel like a finale. It's upsetting to me. Dont get me wrong, wonderfully acted and stuff but i'm not happy with the end results, i felt like throwing my controler at my tv because i was sooo shocked. Cliff hangers like this officially suck :(

Wow! is all that I really have to say. Oh and that its gonna be a long freakin' summer. I am sad to see that Miranda isn't the chief resident although I am happy that Callie is. Lexi Grey is the 'other woman' from the bar? *Yeah, it's gonna be a really long summer*

Darn...I dislike season finales for more reasons than one. I don't know who's comin and goin. :blink:

First, Callie- WOO! SHE'S STAYING. LOL. OK, yeah I'm probably (along with Sara) that is SOOOOO FREAKING happy that she's staying and that she got Chief Resident AND that George chose her, but I seriously and honestly dont care! I freaking love her and I'm so happy that she's going to be back next season.

George- Omg, I'm like still hating George a bit, but omg I'm so sad.. he's cleaning out his locker.. whats going to happen to George! He has to repeat his intern year or leave the program.. how sad. :sob: :sob: :sob:

Bailey- Yes, she didnt get Chief Resident but people don't seem to understand that the chief did it for her own good. So that she wouldn't repeat HIS mistakes. So sad though the moment with her and George. :sob: :sob:

Izzie- BURN! SO BURNED! Gah, I loved every freaking MINUTE of it. Yes, I think she did a freaking shitty thing to tell George that she didnt feel anything and then take it back, but he's married and she said it herself in the OR ..its a vow, marriage.. they win.. its over. She's so freaking sea-saw-ish (yes, I make up my own words) that she pisses me off and confuses herself in the process. She's irritating. Gah. ..BURN!!!!

Meredith- Gawd, I feel so bad for calling Derek an ass now, ok..no I dont because he was acting "assy" but Gosh he poured his heart out to her and all she could say is "Cristina's getting married..I have to go"?? Seriously Meredith??

Derek- I could freaking HEAR his heart breaking when Meredith said..it's all over. Gah, I wish I could just pull him through the screen and hug him tight.. he made valid points in the locker room and she BURNED him. Damn you Meredith.

BURKE- God, I hate you Preston Burke. You fucking BROKE her. She did everything for YOU and you left her.. gawdddd I hate you.

Cristina- Oh Cristina...you bitch..you made me cry like a baby.. Gahhh.. I cried so much (ask Sara) She loved him, I loved how she knew that he was gone by little subtle things that meant so much to him. She changed so much, she made the effort and he tore out her heart. I hate him so much. :sob: :sob: :sob:

Addison- Dude, I'm so going to miss her, her comedy.. her facial expressions.. just everything she shouldnt go. Just stay with us Addie. :(

Alex- I'm really sorry to the Alex/Ava shippers out there but LORD JESUS THANK GOD SHE'S GONE! I don't like them together.. if you want to talk about no chemistry.. thats it right there. Alex deserves someone that can challenge him, someone that can put him in his place and tell him that he's being an ass. Alex deserves CALLIE. (GO TEAM CALLEX)

Chief & Adele - how freaking cute are they? I love it. I Freaking love it that Derek turned down the Chief of surgery job.. I love the Chief and I dont want him to go!! :)


So overall it was a pretty damn good episode for Callie fans everywhere! I freaking LOVE it that she had a good day.. finally dammit. She was due for one! I still think that George needs to fess up to what he did and be a man but with everything that has happened.. ie.. him failing his test.. I dont know when that will be but hopefully sometime next season.

I cant wait till next season but until then.. I'll have the summer fic thread...

Cristina - Sandra Oh is the breadwinner of this episode. She was snarky, she was beautiful she was utterly heartbreaking in the scene with the dress. I SOBBED. It was...wow. Cristina has given so much to Burke, she put her whole career on the line for him...wow, I'm just...wow. Cristina, please wax off HIS eyebrows and then beat him with his stupid trumpet, then make him choke on his Eugene Foote CDs.

Meredith - I love you, but put down the crackpipe.

Derek - Redeemed yourself here, you are now McOhLordyDoIFeelBadForYou

Lexie - I RULE. I FREAKING CALLED IT. Wooooo can't wait to see what's in store from this one. Chyler Leigh WOOOO.

Callie- GO TEAM CALLIE. Wow, she finally gets something she deserves, Chief Resident. Good to see the underdog finally getting some recognition. I totally get why the Chief did it, so that Bailey wouldn't end up like him. Callie BURNED Izzie OMG. LIKE WOW.

I actually loved the episode, it was fast moving and interesting!!! i liked the way in which the chief interviews were shown ect!!! The whole thing was heart-breaking though!!!! :o :unsure: :sob:

Callie - You go girl!!! We :wub: you!!!! Happy that she finally got a great happy episode!!! And she is staying which ROCKS!!!

Bailey - so so so sad! shes bailey, she wins!!! great scene with her and george!! It sucks that the chief made her think it was a dead certainty!!! :(

Meredith - oh hunni you parents havent half messed you up!!!!!! Its like she was actually slightly relieved when she though he was gonna break up with her cause she is so scared of letting someone love her!!!! :sob: i dont hate her though at all, or think shes a bitch...shes my fave character so i just cant give up on her!
Saying all that i absolutely loved all the scenes between Mer & Christina they like totally get each other which is cute!!! And we really saw just how much they rely on one another!

Derek - Definately McDreamy again, the way he was like 'you are the love of my life' and 'i cant break up with you' Bless him!!! :wub: :wub: :wub: :( i dont know whats gonna happen with them which really freaks me out!!! :unsure: I think he did the right thing by turning down the chiefs offer!!!!

The Chief - Yay he is staying! i love him!!! and im glad that he (i think) is going to sort out his marriage!!!

Addison - Great epsiode for the Addie advice!!! First burke and his vows then alex!!! SHE IS SIMPLY THE BEST!!! lol :wub: :wub: :wub:

George - Oopsy!!! I dont think he will leave for good though...

Izzie - That would have been an awesome touching speech if george wasnt married to callie!! And the look on her face when Callie burned her .... :o I ALMOST feel bad for her!!! I really hope shonda sorts out izzies character next season cause i miss old izzie!!!

Burke - you son-of-a....!!!! How awful was it when in front of her friends he was like 'IF i loved YOU' Wow HARSH!! And it sucks cause his vows were beautiful!!! (i SO called him walking out on the wedding! lol) :angry: :angry: :angry: :blink:

Christina - I just wanted to hug her really tightly!! She really wanted to be with him and she sacrificed everything because she loved him!!! Sandra did an AMAZING job cause the dress scene was heart-stopping!!!

Lexi - Hmmm well i like her as a character i think but it still worries me just because she is mers sister which can only bring complication (since lets face it this is Greys!!!) to Meredith! I actually dont THINK her a Derek will get it on because Derek knows Mer is the love of his life, she just isnt 'in' the relationship so... Buti did see a spark between her and george!!! though im not sure why Shonda would associate George with ANOTHER women!!! (i mean mer, callie, izzie then mer's sister :? )
I think i will just see how i plays out and reserve judgement until later!!! :)

Meredith: Grow up!! You have an amazing guy who would die for you and you shut him out again and again. He sits there and pours his heart to you and you dont let him in. Ughh. Dont get me wrong, i love her but she's clearly got a few screws loosened in the head. VERY mad with her

Derek: I got my Mcdreamy back :wub: !! I ABSOULTLEY loved him this episode. He was amazing and i really felt for him. He's not an asshole like i said. The talk he had with mer was sooo sweet, he despreatley loves her and doesnt want to lose her. She is the love bf his life. I wanted to give him a hug sooo bad because i really felt for him.

Bailey: Felt sooooo... bad for her. She should have been chief-res. Maybe the chief was doing this to protect her in a sense

George: I'm so shocked that he failed his exam. I'm not relly sure whats going to happen with him.

Addie: talk about no closure whatsover :rolleyes: So what happens, she just magically leaves to go to la ?

Burke: Is isaiah washington really leaving the show? *does happy dance*. I liked burke's character before this episode. or until his cowardly exit becaue he didnt get picked for chief

Saved best for last, Cristina: She saved this episode for me. Sandra Oh was jaw-dropping. The dress scene was heartbreaking. I was bawling. Sooooo sad. She really was a jewel this episode.

Oh and lets elaborate about shonda, shall we ;).

I hate her right now, she needs to get slapped. What is wrong with her? I cannot stand how she is so cleary unaffected by her loyal fans because apperantley she thinks breaking up mer der is the right thing to do.She is losing many many viewes. Is she seriously out of her mind? She treats her fans like punching bags. Its not fair. And i cannot stand how on her podcasts she never elaborates strongly on anything, everything is a joke to her, all she does is mess around and give her self constant self praise. "I thought my idea was sooo great etc." I'm definitely not happy with shonda right now, thats pretty obvious.


And i thought you guys should know that on both the writers blog and the podcast, shonda basically said that merder are over. I dont like how all the couples who are supposed to be together arent (merder, burketina) while the couple who shouldn't be together are together (callie/george)

I'm listening to the podcast and it all makes eprfect sense to me now.

Why Burke did it (though I'm still pissed) he did it as the ultimate sacrifice of love. The wedding was stripping Cristina, it was changing her and he didn't want to change her, and he could have just married her which would have her living out this whole fake Cristina, but he let her go so that she could "be free". Its so heartbreaking but it does make sense...but oh man she really did love him so much and vice versa! But they said he FIANLLY saw her for what she was and it's so true.

Meredith was using Cristinas wedding as her proof that happy endings do exist for people like her. So when it all fell apart she had an epiphany, she reverted back to Dark and Twisty Mer because she's terrified of being broken yet again, and we all know when Meredith is terrified she pushes herself away.

Cristina was amazing last night, that scene with her and Meredith made me cry and gave me chills.

Anyone notice that the season began with Meredith helping Izzie out of her dress and ends with Meredith cutting Cristina out?

well I don't know what to say about this episode. it seemed different from all the others. I guess I liked it though cuz it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. except for the commercials when I went to the bathroom which IS WHY I MISSED A SCENE!!! :angry: so I'm gonna have to go to abc.com and rewatch. I missed the beginning of the scene where Derek was talking to Burke and he's like "don't worry about me this is your day" or something like that so I have no idea what their conversation was about. and I missed the beginning of the scene with Chief and Mark where he's telling Mark that he's not the chief. but that's it.

I pretty much knew that Burke and Cristina weren't getting married after he said the vows in the OR because I know they wouldn't have him say his vows all over again at a wedding after we already know what he's going to say, especially if they're that long. they wouldn't be as emotional the second time. and if they did get married they wouldn't skip the scene with the vows cuz everybody would want to hear Cristina's.

I don't really know Meredith's and Derek's story because my dad was in the room next to me having a coughing attack during much of their scene... he coughs really loud so I was distracted. and I also didn't see the scene where Derek tells Burke their story. so I have no clue where they are right now but from what you guys said it's not looking good.

I liked the Chief and Adele's scene. I was mad at her when she was telling him that the father of their baby was actually a good man and then I'm like oh wait it's him... so then I liked her again. so I'm guessing they're gonna be together now...? yeah they are.

George and Callie... yeah in case you guys didn't notice I'm categorizing by couples ;)
I hate it when Callie is happy about her and George cuz I know that'll make it even worse for her when she finds out :( and I think it's funny how the Chief is protecting Bailey so he's just like "oh I'll stick Callie in there, I don't care what happens to her life..." and I was really surprised when I found out that George failed the boards. that was a cute scene with him and Bailey. I don't like how Chief led her on that she was gonna be chief-resident and then crashed and burned her. uh oh I forgot this is George and Callie's paragraph. I thought that scene was so cute when he said that they could have a baby if she wants to and she was all happy. but maybe she wants a baby because she thinks it'll keep George with her and away from Izzie. I loved how she burned Izzie when she's like "we decided to have a baby. and we tried today!" lol too much info.

Izzie didn't really have a big part in this episode did she? apart from the fact that she told George she loved him. I don't know maybe I missed another important scene with her since I seem to have missed so many... I just don't like Izzie that much. even though she did only sleep with him cuz they were both drunk. I still don't get where all of this undying love came from though cuz they didn't ever seem like anything more than friends and I thought she might still be getting over Denny seeing as these whole three seasons only took place in one year. wow everybody's first year was really eventful... Meredith almost died twice. Izzie had two loves of her life. I don't feel like thinking about everything that happened with each character, but it still is so weird to think that it's only been a year in their time.

I don't know where all the love from Alex for Ava came from either... I thought he had a thing for Addison cuz that's what they've been hinting at all season but they never really hinted at "love" for Alex and Ava. I thought they were just really good friends and he looked out for her. I thought their relationship was one of those really deep metaphors for something that I couldn't figure out. sometimes I hate how many metaphors they have. they make it obvious with metaphors what's gonna happen sometimes cuz they completely spell them out. like when Derek was arguing with George...

and yeah was Addison's last appearance in the episode when she was sitting with Alex? very uneventful with her... she's probably gonna be in at least the first episode of Grey's next season right? to close things? well actually that wouldn't work cuz Private Practice (ew) is on the day before Grey's so it'll look like she's in LA and then back in Seattle. I still don't know if I'm gonna watch it. maybe when sneak peaks come out, if they look good then I'll give it another chance.

oh yeah and I'm so happy about Derek from this episode! he's back! I love how he has those random lovely little speeches that everybody plays over and over again. like "I'm always gonna show up" and "I'm in love with you" and "I'm glad you didn't die today". yep I think I got them all. oh and I like the one where he tells Addison he's in love with Mer in the Christmas episode. :wub:

didn't Cristina's new eyebrows look exactly the same as they were before Burke's mom took them away? oh and I thought it was "emotional" when the new first-year interns came in and were making fun of the locker room and stuff and I'm like, omg that's how it all started :( I wonder if we're gonna get to know these interns...? probably not. except for Lexie. that's gonna be awkward. why didn't Meredith's dad tell her that Lexie was planning on doing residency at Seattle Grace? unless she only decided to do that spontaneously because that's where her mom died. you'd think you wouldn't want to work at the place your mom died though. ooh and that will be interesting... between Derek and Lexie. and Meredith doesn't even know Lexie. I wonder how she'll find out it's her?!? and then I bet it's gonna be a problem when Meredith finds out that Lexie was the woman that Derek met at the bar. because Derek probably won't tell Meredith that it's her. and then Meredith will feel betrayed. that is if Meredith and Derek are even together anymore. but I was soooo mad when the episode ended just as Derek was walking towards Meredith. I thought it would end with their conversation but it ended before it! :angry: and I'm guessing the new episode will start right where this one left off and probably show Derek walking toward Meredith. maybe that'll be the beginning. he better say something he better not just walk right past her because that would be a lame thing to wait three months for. ok I think this is the longest post I've ever written so I'll just stop now. I doubt any of you will even read this whole post. haha if you read this type in "periwinkle" in your next post so I know you did. yep that's the password. Yeah! I saw that too and thought i was crazy. Good thing someone else noticed it.

I watched the episode and thought the way they setted it up was odd. Right after the wedding was called off, der is with the chief in scrubs. Throughout the whole episode, its like that for the chiefs meeting with the attendings.

Maybe the episode was meant to be some kind of flashback or something, i'm not sure. Maybe we were supposed to get some kind of merder interaction, i dunno. I just thought it was a little odd.

yeah I was kinda confused about the timeline of that episode. I didn't know if the talks with Chief were before or after everything. or if he talked to them all in a row or if there were spaces between his meetings.
